We just came home from a trip to Sweden last month and we have SO MANY pictures that we cannot wait to share with y’all!
We have seen so many cute wooden homes and many of the more traditional homes are just stunning.
Let’s look at some of the best ones.
Swedish home with wooden details
This home features some very unique and very beautiful details around the roofing.
We love how the tiny front porch welcomes you into the entrance with cute window shudders on each side and an all-white finish.
This one is smaller but equally cute.

We have less wooden details but the balcony deck and the entrance goes very well together to create a welcoming entrance.
We also love the mix of wood and brick. Notice how the main wall are brick but the upper floor is covered with bright yellow wood.
So beautiful.
spacious Sweden home in traditional style
This home is bigger and more of a mansion-style home.
Notice the super-cute awnings in traditional patterns and the beautiful balcony on the left side that has an almost royal feel to it.
We came across this home inside Bullerby in Sweden.

This home is al older design with lots of fine details.
Notice the rounded window sections and the unique entrance part with windows all around.

cute shudders and lots of color
Another typical Swedish feature is strong colors and pastel.
This home has cute shudders and the whole thing is painted pastel green. Not uncommon for Sweden and Norway.
This is in fact an old bookstore.
traditional swedish police station
One of the more grandiose buildings from traditional Swedish building style.
We love this old police station with all it’s cute features such as the roofing and the pillar-like structure on the outer walls.
The round window at the center top is also a great detail.
Wooden House With Shudders
This old wooden house with muntin-style windows is found around Bullerby.
It shows traditional Swedish building style with wooden exterior and cute shudders for the windows. Not very different from southern Europe around some of the countries surrounding the Alpes!
